Kit Haigh was firstly a guitarist, but he can get a tune out of pretty much anything. He is especially handy on drums and things with keyboards.

His professional career goes back to the 80s when his band The Flaming Mussolinis enjoyed/endured a major label deal and all that went with that, peaking with a No.79 single, "My Cleopatra" and a performance on Wogan. They also took part in the World Popular Song Festival (a sort of global Eurovision) in Tokyo, with a song co-written by Kit. The 90s saw Kit cementing his reputation as a great guitar sidekick with a succession of hard working bands touring most of Europe, until one day his friend, traditional piper and fiddler Kathryn Tickell, asked him to stand in at short notice for her appearance on Later With Jools Holland. Seizing the opportunity of a new challenge, he subsequently became a full member of her band for the next 6 years.

Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, a chance meeting with a promising local director led to Kit composing his first film score, which was well received at the Edinburgh Film Festival. He was keen to grab this opportunity with both hands and only a couple of years later his 6th film, Channel 4's legendary documentary The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off, was winning major awards including an International Emmy and 2 Baftas.

Since 2000 Kit has worked extensively with Amanda Drago, composing and editing for dance performances and creating innovative, interactive light and sound installations. In 2009 he became joint artistic director of Falling Cat.
